MSNBC sent a writer and a photographer down here the other day. Like everyone who comes here through the U.S. Antarctic Program, they had to go through physicals and various hoops. The writer filed a dispatch soon after completing the long haul here and he was in a bad mood. He also wasn't thinking very clearly or he might have realized that the folks here would not appreciate it. The next day, everyone was talking about it. This is, hands down, the best rumor mill I've every lived in.
